Alice writes and performs all her own songs known for her use of a 12 string guitar. While she learnt to play at school, it has been in the last 4 years that she took her music to a wider audience.

Her first live performance ever was at a close friends wedding in Dornoch Cathedral, in front of 200 guests, which Alice freely admits, “ was the most daunting experience ever and came off from playing shaking like the proverbial leaf”. This did however lead on to over events twice playing at Eden Court for Charity events. The 2016 event was a great challenge as she was asked to perform for half and hour with no material written! “I did it and well the rest is history”.

This led Alice to fulfil a childhood dream and record her own album, Acoustic, which rapidly was corrupted to A Coo Stick. The idea of the album was it was to be all acoustic and instrumental, but as Alice herself says “it didn’t turn out like that!” It was encouragement from one of her close friends who heard a very rough draft of the album said, “You need to do more like the Bear song”. It took a while to realise what this cryptic message meant. More song with singing on them, and so the album took this path and after some twists and turns, it has now been released.

On the album Alice plays all the instruments all the vocals, as well as being the producer and assistant recording engineer. She also mixed and mastered the album.

Support comes from special guest Dougie Burns.
