He began his career as guitarist/ backing vocalist with Glasgow acts The Kytes, Southbeach and Jill Jackson and it was a few years before Alan was to emerge as an accomplished singer/songwriter in his own right. At the beginning of 2010 Frew released his debut album Go Easy which was very well recieved by the major press and given 4 star reviews by the Sunday Mail, Sunday Express and Sunday Herald as well as being pick of the month in Music News Scotland.
Since going solo Frew has toured in the UK, Holland, Germany and New York touring 3 weeks consecutively with the Liberty Tour and promoting each gig with BBC radio interviews. Not to mention appearances at Truck Fest, Belladrum, Wizard Fest, Merchant City Festival, Northern Roots, Wessex Folk Festival and Live@Troon Festival.
