Davy Cowan’s songs encapsulate the essence of many of the stories and situations that have inspired him over the years: people, places, old memories, faces; journeys on trains, ferries, planes – and a clapped out converted Ford Transit minibus.

The red morning sky; thunder clouds over the Cromarty Firth & her rusting meccano set oil rigs, casting their menacing shadows across the shores beneath them.

With his son Sam they have been entertaining many across the country and abroad including a recent slot opening for Peat and Diesel at the legendary Barrowland in Glasgow.
