Ailis, Ilona & Kaitlin

Drawing influence from the Highlands and the West of Scotland, Ailis Sutherland and Ilona Kennedy bring together the styles of the piping and fiddle traditions with honesty and poise. As well as supporting the melody with taste and sensitivity on guitar, Kaitlin Ross provides a tender and distinctive vocal, indulging the trio’s collective love of Gaelic song. Learning their music through local Fèisean and pipe bands in Angus, Badenoch and Ross-shire, the trio includes two former pupils of Plockton Music School and a World Pipe Band Champion. All three are now BA Applied Music students at the University of the Highlands and Islands
