Graham Mackenzie


Graham Mackenzie is an innovative traditional fiddler from Inverness. He is a former finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year and has performed with some of Scotland’s most notable trad musicians including Julie Fowlis, Chris Stout, Phil Cunningham, Aly Bain and Donald Shaw.


In 2015 Graham composed ‘Crossing Borders’, a New Voices commission for Celtic Connections released as his debut CD. Last year Graham
was nominated for Composer of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.


He is also a founder member of new folk band, ‘Aizle’ who released their debut EP in January 2017. As a soloist, Graham has performed at festivals throughout the UK.
