Following the release of the ‘True What You Say’ EP, multi-cultural Birmingham band, KIOKO get set to release their follow up ‘Let’s Be Frank’.
Having released a hard-hitting documentary styled video earlier this year for ‘Deadly Roots’ (the lead track from the ‘True What You Say’ EP) the boys have been busy in the studio getting to work on their current project ‘Let’s Be Frank’. ‘Deadly Roots’ used strong lyrics and rhythmic melodies to spread a message that fits in with todays ever-changing society, a message of realness and respectfulness to others and one that they will continue to see through in their new release.
As well as being solid in the studio KIOKO pride themselves on giving a high standard of lively and memorable shows with high adrenalin and energetic performances set to win over audiences old and new. During the last EP they were gaining radio support from Huw Stephens’ show on BBC Radio 1, Huey Morgan’s show on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 1Xtra (who played favoured track taken from the EP, ‘Don’t Keep Me Waiting’ for a week) and had already had performed with a great variety of artists including Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder, The Specials, The Musical Youth and Youngblood Brassband.
