“Kid Canaveral return to Inverness to celebrate the release of new single First We Take Dumbarton, taken from their brand new album (due for release on Lost Map Records in July). Their last album Now That You Are a Dancer was nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year Award and met with universal critical acclaim.
Being certified DIY-enthusiasts, Kid Canaveral started their own label, Straight to Video Records, in 2007 in order to release their debut single ‘Smash Hits’. Since then, they’ve released two critically acclaimed records – Shouting at Wildlife in 2010 (by themselves first, and then re-released by Fence Records after the initial pressing sold out); and Now That You Are a Dancer in 2013 on Lost Map Records, and taken their alternative pop across the UK, Europe, the US (including appearances at South By South West in Texas) and Canada.”
